One of my most fulfilling experiences as a 21st-century educator has been seeing firsthand the revolutionary potential of technology in the classroom. Pupils who had previously found it difficult to participate in lectures and traditional textbooks were now completely absorbed in their studies. They developed a greater understanding of the natural world, established connections between disparate ideas, and posed perceptive questions. After giving this experience some thought, I saw how much technology could change education and enable kids to become engaged, lifelong learners. I consider it an honor to be at the vanguard of this digital revolution as a teacher in the twenty-first century, encouraging the following generation to experiment, learn, and create in ways that were previously unthinkable.
