What's next on your bucket list?

Travel... is the movement of people between distant geographical locations. Travel can be done by foot, bicycle, automobile, train, boat, bus, airplane, ship or other means, with or without luggage, and can be one way or round trip. [1] Travel can also include relatively short stays between successive movements, as in the case of tourism.

When planning your next destination, what types of things do you consider? Here are a few things I take into consideration when wanting to head out:

When do I want to travel? Many destinations have a peak season, which causes either a shortage or excess of availability.
What is my budget? This obviously is a very important factor, but there are definitely ways to travel on a budget.
Who is traveling with me? My bucket list destination might not be of any interest to my travel partners. Pick wisely, to ensure the best experiences.
What type of travel do I want to enjoy? There are so many types of travel. There are river cruises, ocean cruises and a mixture of both. There are so many land packages available, from resorts, to motor coaches. You can spend your time climbing a mountain, or just climbing into a lounge chair with a cold drink in hand.

A few important things to take into consideration before booking your next dream vacation: Ensure that your passport is valid (make sure you know your countries guidelines on expiry), Make sure you have valid travel insurance (things happen and you don't want to be stuck), Ensure you have any required documents for the country you are visiting as some countries require VISAs or travel permits.
