"Skin Cycling" is a term used to describe a method and schedule that can be used to guide a user on how and when to apply specific skin care products.
The word "cycling" in the name represents the cycylical rotation through the pattern of product use.
More specifically, rather than applying the same skin care products every day in the same order, when skin cycling, differnt sets of products are applied on different days with ‘rest’ days scheduled in between.
The "rest" can help prevent irritation and inflammation.
Instead of piling more products on top of each other, skin cycling encourages people to use products strategically so
that they actually complement one another
What would a Skin Cycling Skincare Routine look like?
Here is the play-by-play of the day to day schedule for product use.

How does it differ from a regular Night Time Skin Care routine?
A typical skin care routine would not have interchangable products each day, it would have the same set of products every night. Please see the example of a typical Night Routine below.
Use a Cleanser to cleanse the skin
Use a Toner to tone the skin or Essence to hydrate the skin
(OPTIONAL ADDITIONAL STEP)
Use 1 serum or treatment to target a specific skin care concern.
Use a Moisturizer to add moisture and prevent dehydration.
NOTE: Skin Cycling will change the Serum / Treatment Step of a typical routine depending on the day.
