The Ramappa Temple also known as the Rudreswara temple was awarded UNESCO World Heritage status in 2021 is a Kakatiya style Hindu temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, located in Telangana, India. Marco Polo, during his visit to the Kakatiya empire, supposedly called the temple "the brightest star in the galaxy of temples".The Ramappa Temple's intricate carvings, delicate sandstone work, and soaring "floating brick" tower showcase the pinnacle of Kakatiya artistry and engineering,earning it a spot on the UNESCO World Heritage list. It stands as a living testament to the dynasty's cultural and artistic expression, offering a glimpse into their history and achievements.
