V, an alias for Valerie/Vincent, is a mercenary involved in
a series of events during the year 2077. V is the player-controlled character
and their gender, appearance, attributes, perks,and Lifepaths are all customisable
and have an impact on the storyline.>
Panam Palmer is introduced as a former member of the Aldecaldos nomad clan,
who, after a family dispute, decided to live a more independent life as a mercenary. She is also a
possible romance option for V with a masculine body in Cyberpunk 2077
Goro Takemura is the former personal bodyguard of Saburo Arasaka. He is a stoic man of honor and fiercely loyal to Arasaka,
but finds himself betrayed and out of his element in Night City..
Altiera Cunningham, known as Alt, a top netrunner, created the Soulkiller program, but Arasaka Corporation kidnapped her,
used her to create a version, and turned her into its first victim—now existing as a digital ghost in the Net.
Johnny Silverhand was killed by Adam Smasher on August 20th, 2023. However, his consciousness was saved as an engram and stored on a
Relic. The engram is not Silverhand's actual consciousness, but instead a digital replication of his personality.
Maman Brigitte is an alarmingly skilled netrunner and leader of the Voodoo Boys – the gang that rules over Pacifica's Haitian community.
She takes on the riskiest jobs and is always ready to put her neck on the line for her people.
Jackie Welles is a merc who value friendship, loyalty, and family above all else. He is one of V's first contacts,
quickly becoming V's partner and accompanying V on a handful of early jobs in the game
Judy Álvarez is a skilled braindance techie and a member of the Mox. She has her own apartment in northeastern Kabuki, Watson.
Judy is a possible romance option for V in Cyberpunk 2077.
Dexter DeShawn, is a well-known fixer in Night City. In 2077, he returned to the city after spending a few years 'off the grid'.
Despite not being a Mercenary himself before he became a fixer, he was able to succeed because of his charisma and good eye for potential in other people.
Hanako Arasaka is a skilled, self-taught Netrunner and the head of the Kiji Faction of the Arasaka Corporation. Through her strong and calm demeanor she is able to command and lead with great pride for her work.
She was the only one who understood Alt's work with the Soulkiller.
Adam Smasher is a full borg. He is employed by Arasaka and the position of head of security and the personal bodyguard of Yorinobu Arasaka. Adam can only be described in one way, pure uncontrolled evil.
Rogue Amendiares is a well-known solo during the 2010s in Night City, who became owner of the famous Afterlife nightclub in the Time of the Red, and was widely considered the city's best fixer by 2077
