Pad Kra Pao, (also spelled, pad kaprow, or pad gaprao) is one of Thailand's most famous, and delicious dishes. Anyone who has tried this dish does not walk away the same. The key components include (Thai Holy) basil, which is stir-fried with ground meat (commonly beef, chicken or pork), garlic, sugar and Thai Chili. The dish is seasoned with a combination of soy sauce, oyster sauce and fish sauce. Additionally, it may incorporate other ingredients such as onions, bell peppers and green beans. In some places in Thailand you may also find a seafood variety. It is speculated that this dish made it's way to Thailand in during the reign of King Rama VII, and gained popularity in the 50's. In Thailand you can still find this delicacy on the street for no more than $2. You should probably try some. 🇹ðŸ‡ðŸ¤¤
