Cold brew coffee, also known as cold water extraction or cold pressing, is the process of steeping course coffee grounds in water at cool temperatures for about 12-24 hours. The cold water slows down the extraction process and changes what is extracted from the coffee grounds. When compared to traditional brewing methods, a cup of cold brew can be 60% less acidic and bitter which is why it is my favorite form of coffee. It can be enjoyed on it's own, with your favorite milk or various syrup flavors.
