Scientific studies have shown that walking may be beneficial for the mind, improving memory skills, learning ability, concentration, mood, creativity, and abstract reasoning. Sustained walking sessions for a minimum period of thirty to sixty minutes a day, five days a week, with the correct walking posture may improve health.

There are many virtual challenges that you can try to motivate you to walk more often and for longer distances. My favourite one is The Conqueror virtual challenges. During these virtual challenges, you learn about the destination that you walk and at the end you receive a beautifully designed medal!
