I have been meditating for over 20 years. In the beginning, it was to help me sleep as I had awful insomnia. I started out by relaxing each one of my body parts from my toes to my head. While I didn’t always fall asleep, it did put me into a state of REM similar to what happens during Yoga Nidra. Fast forward to 2020, while we were in lockdown I took an online meditation teacher training course from a local studio where I became certified as a Meditation Teacher. I have since used my knowledge and experience to run my own meditation classes including short guided meditations on instagram.
