Architecture is a foundational building block of society
Anybody can be an architect. Architecture is
the art and technique of designing and building, as distinguished from
the skills associated with construction. It is the holistic process of
sketching, conceiving, planning and designing often (but not always)
resulting in the production constructing buildings or other structures.
The term comes from Latin architectura; from Ancient Greek ἀρχιτέκτων
(arkhitéktōn) 'architect'; from ἀρχι- (arkhi-) 'chief', and τέκτων
(téktōn) 'creator'.
What skills can you learn as an architect?
🏛 How to conceive a space, using both precedents and imaginative
processes.
🏛 How to convey your ideas from your mind to a page, so that others
can understand. This can be through different mediums, such as
sketching, 3D programs, collages, and model making.
🏛 How to problem solve on a macro and micro level, with complex
building issues.
🏛 How to realise a project, from conception to completion, with a
satisfying sense of fulfillment seeing your project built.
