Reasons why this beloved character is actually a villian

With the festive season fast approaching some of you might be tempted to watch the film The Holiday. This 2006 Rom-com directed by Nancy Meyers features an all studded cast of Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, Kate Winslet and Jack Black.

If you haven't seen the film, here's a breif run down: Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet are both in a bit of a rut around Christmas time, they have both lucked out They are both have had unfortunate circumstances in their love lives and they have simply had enough! The thought of being single on Christmas is absolutely inconceivable so they decide to take a trip, not to see their family or other loved ones during the holiday season, no they want a trip to somewhere completely different.

So instead of jumping onto booking.com and heading to Bali they decide to jump on a heinous looking website that offers house swapping. And that is how these two women decide it is perfectly reasonable to swap your house with all your stuff to a stranger you met on the internet. So Cameron Diaz’s character ends up in a chilly part of England while Kate Winslet’s character gets to enjoy the sun in LA.

Now we are going to focus on Cameron Diaz’s character’s love interest who is none other than Jude Law. A seemingly charming British man who is full of red flags:

Despite all these flags he is seen as the perfect romantic partner who’s just a sweet caring man that is so desirable. His relationship skills are hardly to be marvelled at and he is also imposing on what would be a quiet holiday to reflect. Do you agree?
