Ghana Jollof is made basically from , oil(not palm oil but others could be used depending on the household) ,large tomatoes , vegetables(depends on the household), onions,ginger, fish , garlic, tomato paste , spices , aroamtics and of course aromatic rice. The dish is mostly made for weddings and parties but funeral Jollof is known to be the best and this has brought out a lot of `dark humor jokes` among friends and families. What makes Ghana Jollof inherently different is the use of more spices , Thai jasmine rice, it`s smokey flavor and the use of `kelewele`as a side; fried meat, salad and a lot more. Ghana Jollof definitely has more flavor compared to other Jollof rice but maybe less peppery.
