the a to z of local cuisine

Botswana is a landlocked country in Southern Africa, with a landscape defined by the Kalahari Desert and the Okavango Delta, which becomes a lush animal habitat during the Rainy season.
Speaking of the rainy season, a local dish which is enjoyed during the cold cosy weather is called Madombi (Dumplings) in Setswana.
This dish is enjoyed with warm beef stew, chicken stew or slow cooked oxtail.
