All dogs are wonderful, that's very true. However, there is one breed in particular that is the undisputed master race of them all— the Golden Retriever. These dogs have been popular for decades and worthy of the hype they recieve.
Golden retrievers were first recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC™) starting in 1925. In the 1970s, President Gerald Ford owned a female named Liberty which really helped the popularity of the breed to explode. While they do make amazing domestic companions, the breed is commonly used in media due to their temperment and trainability. They perform very well as service and emotional support animals. There isn't anything they're not good at! 💖
This landing page is in dedication of Belle (pictured), my very own Golden Retriever, and the obvious reason for why I am quite openly biased toward the breed. 🙃
