Welcome to Kreuzberg

Berlin's chillest district

If you like cutting-edge art, delicious cafés, gorgeous architecture, and a chill 'everything goes' vibe, then Kreuzberg is the place for you. Located just south of Berlin's city center, Kreuzberg is a treasure trove of cultural intrigue. Over the last five decades, Kreuzberg has served as the hub of the German capital's music scene, running a gamut of genres from punk rock (attracting the likes of David Bowie and Iggy Pop during the '70s) to rap and hip hop today.

Kreuzberg is at its core a kaleidoscopically diverse place. In the decades following WWII, the borough became home to artists, students, squatters, and a considerable immigrant population. Fortunately, Kreuzberg's legacy of countercultural, multicultural, and alternative lifestyles has continued well on into this century. Aside from retaining its ethnically diverse and artistically vibrant character, Kreuzberg remains an LGBTI* stronghold alongside its neigboring borough, Schöneberg.

If you want space to explore, be yourself without scrutiny, and engage with the arts,

Then come on over!
