Valorant

Valorant is a free-to-play team-based, first-person tactical hero shooter developed and published by Riot Games, for Windows. The game is set in the near future (around 30 years from now). Players play as 1 of a set of 22 Agents, based on several countries and cultures around the world. In the main game mode, players are assigned to either the attacking or defending team with each team having 5 players on it.

Free to Play

Valorant Is a free to play game. As any other game like its kind, it offers the option of buying cosmetics. They do not give any competitive advantage, only changing the appearance of their weapon in-game.

22 Agents

Agents are divided into 4 roles: Duelists, Sentinels, Initiators, and Controllers. Each agent has a different role which indicates how the agent is usually played.

Every map has been meticulously crafted aiming to fully immerse players in the game. These maps draw inspiration from real-world locations from various corners of the globe.

Agents

Duelists: The Front line.
They are expected to be in front of everyone to get opening picks on enemies since their abilities often give them a competitive advantage when gunfighting an enemy. Riot's official definition for duelists is "self-sufficient fraggers.". Their skillset typically revolves around blinding flashes and movement-enhancing abilities, facilitating rapid traversal of substantial distances compared to their fellow agents. This particular ability kit empowers duelists to truly excel in drawing the first blood.

Sentinels: The Defensive Line.
They specialize in locking down sites with their skills to impede enemy advances into a site, allowing extra time for their team members to arrive and fortify the defense. Their abilities mainly consist of static 'objects' that are obstacles to the enemies. These objects can give the team valuable information and/or deal damage.

Initiators: The Informants.
Their expertise lies in breaching enemy positions. Initiators possess a range of skills, encompassing not only flash-based techniques but also the ability to gather crucial intel on the attacker's movements, aiding their teammates in reclaiming a lost site. This invaluable information equips attackers with the knowledge of enemy positions, streamlining the Dualist's entry process.

Controllers: The Crowd Control.
They employ their abilities strategically to establish coverage or eliminate threats within specific zones through crowd control tactics. Controllers are adept at obscuring crucial sightlines with smoke screens in typical defensive positions, compelling adversaries to expose themselves. Moreover, by harnessing their arsenal of molotovs, stuns, and flashes, controllers can control sightlines on the map, making it safer to move through the map without getting seen.
