Minimalism has become quite popular over the years as a design, philosophy and way of life. With most of us shacked up at home this year, we have more time on our hands to declutter our spaces and redecorate. Decluttering as we all know, helps to ease and clear the mind. It definately comes at no surprise that more people are adopting minimalist interior ideas.

So you ask what exactly is this type of interior design we have become obessed with and how do I zhuzh up my space? Architectural digest (our interior bible) describes this in three characteristics. "Simplicity, clean lines, and a monochromatic palette!" According to them, it usually combines an open floor plan, lots of light, and functional furniture, and it focuses on the shape, colour and texture of just a handful of essential elements. So follow these when planning and your space will be transformed!
