Tap water is not as clean as you may think.
Tap water regulations do not require the complete removal of contaminants and actually allow contaminants up to a certain level. These contaminants include chemicals, heavy metals and even pharmaceuticals. There are hundreds of contaminants in our public water systems that are unregulated, therefore they aren’t even tested
for in the water. These are contaminates such as PFA’s which are referred to as "forever chemicals” (they build up in our bodies) and increase your
risk of cancer as well as reproductive and immune system harm! Contaminants can also damage your hair, skin, nails, etc. The amount of contaminants in your water varies based on where you live.
