In high school, she studied classical music at the Manhattan School of Music precollege and attended Tanglewood and Washington National Opera young artist programs. Recently she graduated from Princeton where she minored in music, taking songwriting classes in addition to theory. Of course performing remained most important, with her performing two classical end of year recitals, jazz with the jazz vocal ensemble, and contemporary music weekly at a coffee shop.
