Australian Oztag is a sports association that organizes rugby leagues and tournaments. Oztag is a non-contact version of rugby league. It was created in 1992 by former NRL player and coach Perry Haddock. In Oztag, each team has eight players on the field at a time. Players wear shorts with a Velcro patch on each side to attach the "tag". The attacking team has five plays to score a try. Oztag is a fast-paced sport that can be played by male, female, and mixed teams of all abilities. It's open to ages 6-60. Oztag competitions are held in both summer and winter.
