Loving Dog Breeds
The Pitbull
The American Pit Bull Terrier is a companion and family dog breed. Originally bred to “bait” bulls, the breed evolved into all-around farm dogs, and later moved into the house to become “nanny dogs” because they were so gentle around children. The term “pit bull” is not an official breed, but rather an umbrella term that refers to a group of breeds that share similar physical characteristics. There are many different types of “pit bulls", with the four most common being the American Pit Bull Terrier, the American Staffordshire Terrier, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and the American Bully.
