How it all began...
I started to practice Kundalini Yoga at the age of thirteen (thanks
Mum). Over the years I have continued to do my practice and evolved in
my yoga journey. It started as a search for inner harmony and calmness
in my teens and evolved into an everyday practice and passion.
Today my practice involves an everyday sadhana of Hatha Yoga and
meditation.
So, what is Hatha Yoga? According to the
Yoga Point, The
Hatha Yoga system includes asana along with the six shatkarmas (physical
and mental detox techniques), mudras and bandhas (psycho-physiological
energy release techniques) and Pranayama (pranic awakening practices).
Fine-tuning of the human personality at increasingly subtle levels leads
to higher states of awareness and meditation. Read more about it
here.
Hatha Yoga is a good practice to do if you struggle with anxiety, need
balance and stillness or need more energy. Hatha Yoga combines the sun,
moon and fire elements; moon when you need to feel grounded, sun when
you need energy and fire when you are balanced and ready for more. Every
day is a good day for yoga, meditation and an opportunity to create
stillness in the mind and presence in life. Below you can start or
deepen your practice with my teacher Keli Dierings.
