When dragons ruled Westeros 🔥
Set nearly 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, 172
years before the birth of Daenerys Targaryen and about 100
years after the Seven Kingdoms are united by the
Targaryen Conquest, the series is based on George R.R. Martin's
book Fire and Blood.
The show portrays the events leading up to the beginning of the decline
of House Targaryen, a devastating war of succession known as the "Dance
of the Dragons".
Old Westerosi houses that are no longer in existence when
Game of Thrones takes place, such as:
House Velaryon and House Hightower are featured in
House of the Dragon and viewers will be able to see the role
they played in the fall of the greatest dynasty Westeros had ever seen.
