If you ever came across me, you would recognize me with a book. Ever since I first discover the power and meaning of words, I read. And since I read my heart has been filled with laughter, pain, kindness, wisdom, love and more emotions I can hardly come up with. And this is not just from the classic's like Jane Austen, the Brontë sisters, Victoria Woolf, etc. But also from Benoîte Groult, Huxley, Michiko Aoyama, ... . When I choose a book, it represents the questions and answers I am looking form in that time of my life. Or the feeling(s) I want to feel at that very moment.
Books are my Cosmopolitans after work. Books are my escape to another world. But most of all, they are my dreams I carry with me from the moment I first knew the power and meaning of words.

The need of books remain timeless. Wheter they are telling stories, archiving history or sharing information about our world. Books have evolved over time from handwritten to printing and eventually digitized online.
Ancient scrolls are one of the first handwritten 'books'. Created in the 4th millennium, papyrus plants were used and could be between 14 and 15 feet wide. The oldest printed book, 'the Diamond Sutra' was created between 2nd and 5th centuries.
Thanks to the printing press of Johannes Gutenberg, printing became mainstream in 1439. The world known Penguin books were sold for only six pence in 1935. They were the first glued paperbacks.
Eventually because of Project Gutenberg in 1971 reading became available to the internet.
