One of my favourite sports if I want some alone time.
I was looking for activities to fill up my routine as a WFH-er. Being an
introvert, I wanted something that was
fun and challenging but not too social.
Then I found
FLOW BOULDERING GYM, a premium bouldering just 8 mins drive from where I lived.
During my first visit to the gym, I remember feeling a little bit
intimidated but also excited at the sight of the colourful, rocky walls
and different routes. They reminded me of playgrounds with obstacle
courses.
Learning how to fall safely was the first thing to master, as it will give
new climbers the confidence to try different routes and climb higher,
without worrying about injury when coming back down.
2 years in and I still find it to be an amazing hobby for these 3 reasons:
๐ SELF-DIRECTED PROGRESS
Bouldering has different grades, that I can attempt at my
own pace.
๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ GREAT COMMUNITY
Climbers are always encouraging & guiding each other to
reach the top.
๐คฉ PURE FUN
Honestly, climbing reminds of my childhood days at the
playground.

If you're a looking for a new hobby that
combines exercise with problem-solving, perhaps you can give bouldering a go!
It's a great way to socialise and gain confidence too! Even though it is
not a team sport, it requires problem-solving before each route attempt.
This gives everyone a good reason to strike up a conversation by way of
asking or sharing tips to help a fellow climber out.
