A sport born in ancient Greece and perfected over centuries - field hockey
is an athletic contest using endurance and mental strategy to win. It
requires 2 teams of 11 players, 60 minutes divided into quarters and a
demarcated field. Each player is fitted with mandatory shin guards and a
hockey stick in order to control the ball. The basic objective of the game
is to control the ball with the stick, don't let the ball touch your feet
and to try score a goal once you are in the circle within proximity with
the goalkeeper.
