Dungeons and Dragons is a tabletop roleplaying game that was created in 1974 by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson. Originally based in fantasy worlds, Dungeons and Dragons (or D&D) has evolved into a massive, expansive experience where anything goes. Played entiretly in the theater of the mind, players create characters, build worlds, and create stories in order to play them out in a collaborative experience that is fun for all! Usually led by a dungeon master, these stories can take place in pre-created or fully improvised worlds with infinite themes and possibilities.
The best part? This game can be played any time anywhere, whether you are all in the same room or not!
