Meet my dog and best friend, George.

George was a rescue from Missouri, and he has been a part of our family for nearly 6 years. He does not have the traditional, completely white coat that most recognize, and his beautiful facial features are often referred to as "badger markings."
I was told George had been roaming the highways with a biker gang before finally settling into our home here in Pennsylvania. He is the truest definition of a "gentle giant," and becomes friends with almost any human or animal that he meets. He absolutely loves the cold weather, and can be found somersaulting and bouncing when he is at his happiest.
Adopting him made me fall in love with the ancient Great Pyrenees breed, who are fascinating guardian dogs from the Pyrenees Mountains and who can often be found on farms and ranches protecting the land and the livestock from predators. You might even see them with empty jugs tied around their necks to prevent them from squeezing in between fences as they are known to wander with no intended destination. They are incredibly independent dogs who are not eager to take to training, but who love to be snuggled and loved just the same.
