The first step to embarking on a sewing project is to ensure your machine
is primed with a properly wound bobbin & threaded needle.
As this initial step can often be deceptively tricky, a breakdown has been
provided below to simplify the process.
Step 1:
Place your thread onto the spool pin, extend the thread and wrap around
the tension disk.
Step 2:
Your bobbin should have a tiny hole in the side. Some bobbins have
several. Push the end of your thread through the hole in your bobbin.
You only need to push the thread through one hole on one side.
Step 3:
Place the bobbin onto the motorised winder and push right to secure the
bobbin and disengage the needle.
Step 4:
Hold the end of the thread whilst pushing the motor pedal to wind the
thread around the bobbin. Cut the excess thread after a few rotations &
continue to press the motor pedal until the bobbin is loaded with
thread.
Step 5:
Remove the bobbin from the winder and place inside your bobbin case. The
the thread should unwind in a clockwise direction. Pull the thread
through the notches on the bobbin case.
Step 6:
Pull the bobbin case lever to secure the bobbin and place into the
machine. The bobbin case antenna should fit snug into the alloted groove
on your machine.
Now that the bobbin has been prepped we can thread the needle and begin
sewing.
