New Zealand
If you're off on another backpacking adventure, one place I am sure to
recommend is New Zealand aka Aotearoa "The land of the long white
cloud"! Here you'll come across a sweeping landscape with the beautiful
southern alps, active volcanoes, raging rivers, marvellous fjords with
cascading waterfalls and so much more. Such a diverse landscape all in
one country where even between two neighbouring islands the land differs
greatly. It has many a hostel for travellers on a budget and InterCity,
Ritchies or GreatSights companies make the country fairly easy to
navigate (especially with InterCity's flexi pass).
If you prefer to travel with a group then there are many tour options to
choose from including GAdventures or Contiki tours and they take care of
travelling, accommodation and depending on the tour, certain meals can
be included. Something like KiwiExperience is also popular and can give
more flexibility in letting you arrange your own accommodation for each
place.
This country is amazing to explore for anybody, especially so for the
thrill seekers but even if you want to slowly admire it's magnificent
natural beauty then it's perfect for that too. Also, if you're a Lord of
the Rings fan, then as the filming location for Middle Earth there's
plenty of spots to geek out at, including Hobbiton itself.
