God is Faithfull

Hebrew 13:8

The aspect of God’s character, His faithfulness, is evident in all the world around us and can be seen in our lives each and every day. Looking back on how God has been faithful in the past, we can be encouraged knowing that God will continue to be faithful in our current circumstances – for He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Here are 4passages from Scripture that reflect upon the faithfulness of God,
1.God is faithful to keep His promises.
In Hebrews 10:23 we are given this encouragement: “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;”
2.God is faithful to give us grace when we are tempted.
1 Corinthians 10:13 says that “No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.”
3.God is faithful to forgive sins.
This promise is found in 1 John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
4.God’s faithfulness gives hope.
“This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” (Lam. 3:21-23) As long as we are living here on earth we will never be able to fully grasp who God is. However, when we look at Scripture and meditate on His attributes, we will not only be encouraged in our walk of faith, but more importantly, these truths will allow our worship toward God to increase.
