Aperol Spritz

Since 1919

"Start the day with a smile, end it with a Aperol Spritz!"

Aperol Spritz

The story of Italy's favourite cocktail begins over 100 years ago, when the Barbieri Brothers unveiled a new aperitivo at the Padua International Fair in 1919. Inspired by the drinks they'd enjoyed in France, they named it Aperol, from the French word for aperitivo, 'apero'. With its iconic orange hue and unique, refreshing flavour, the Aperol Spritz quickly became the drink of choice for groups of friends gathering together in the early evening. Learn more.
