"My love for the
Disco Ball started back when I was child and learning
how to dance from my mother.
The disco ball is sphereical object covered with MANY small plane
mirrors. Light reflects off of these mirrors, scattered in countless
directions producing a magical novel effect. This complext display of
light was first discovered back in
1917
and used for display and entertainment over the last
106 years. The glitter ball has inspired many
artists, musicians, and even fashion trends over the years. In the
1960s, 1970s and 1980s, these devices were a
standard piece of equipment in discothèques, and by the turn of the
millennium, the name "disco ball" had grown quite popular. The
celebrity of the disco ball lives on in color, design and sparks creative
inspiration from being displayed. "
