Hermes is a mythological god of messengers, travelers, athletes, thieves, and trade. His animal symbols include a rabbit and a tortoise. Hermes is well-known for being mischevious, cleverly executing pranks on all manner of beings, and somehow managing to get away with it. I've especially enjoyed reading tales about his antics. Hermes also has ties to astrology and astronomy, and even music. He fashioned the first lyre, which fascinated Apollo, the god of all artistic things.
