And is a great way to help the Environment
Compost is organic matter that has been broken down into simpler organic or inorganic matter in a process called
composting. This process recycles various organic materials otherwise regarded as waste products and produces a soil
conditioner. Compost is rich in nutrients.
How to compost
- Start your compost on soil, on bare ground, a can or box
- lay some twigs or straw a few inches deep if your compost is on the ground
- alternate your compost with wet and dry
- Add a nitrogen source, or green manure(grass clipings, wheatgrass) if regular manure is unavailable
- Keep compost MOIST
