Quilting is a great relaxer
Quilting, sewing technique in which
two layers of fabric, usually with an
insulating interior layer, are sewn together
with multiple rows of stitching. It has long
been used for clothing in China, the Middle
East, North Africa, and the
colderareas of
Europe but is now primarily associated with
the construction of bedcovers and wall hangings.
I grew up getting many quilts as gifts, from my grandmother. Starting with my baby quilt. Moving to a twin size qulit, and then my king size quilt. Then my children have all got a baby quilt from her. They are amazing pieces of art that will always hold special to our hearts. Something we will have and then pass on to our children. While my grandmother was sick in the hospital i was at her house everyday and when she returned home i was there every day taking care of her. During this time i grew fond to her quilt room, and i tought myself how to quilt. It made her proud and i found a new hobby. I can spend hours in a fabric store. Their is so many things you can do and patterns and colors, its amazing! Their are many different kinds of quilts.
