Stroke

CVA or as we know it in laymans term 'Stroke' ,is one of the leading causes of death and disability in the world.It is a medical condition where a blood vessel (artery) that carries oxygenated blood and nutrients to the brain either ruptures or gets blocked by a clot resulting in brain cell death.The patients usually present with weakness on the one side of the body, speech impairements vertigo and etc.There are three types of Strokes,namely;

• Transient Stroke
Resolves within an hour or a day,despite its mild symptoms,patients are urged to consult with a doctor immediately.
• Hemorrhagic Stroke
A more severe case where the artery ruptures causing bleeding in the brain(caused by trauma and/or hypertention).
• Ischemic Stroke
Occurs when blood clots or other particles such as plaques block the blood vessels to the brain.

• Hypertension and/or Diabetes
• Hereditary
• Obesity
• Smoking
• Heart Disease and/or Cholesterol
• Stress
