Harley & Jax

Harley 🦊

In 2021 i found Harley online on a pet-adoption website. She was rescued from the streets without a trace of an owner and was brought to Menhely, a rescue shelter in hungary. It was love at first sight and I immediately sent my application in for adoption. Not long after that, I got a visit at home from one of the volunteers and got approved as Harleys adopter. I had to wait another 2 months until Harley finally got arrived in Switzerland. Extremely nervous I picked her up in Wädenswil, with my mom as bystander. As the transporter with 33 other dogs finally turned up in the parking lot, one literally could feel the tension from all adopters, patiently waiting for their new best friends. Harley, initially named "Neithi" from the rescuers, was one of the last dogs to get out of her box. She got handed over to me by a big, friendly hungarian guy with the words "here you get a proper dog!" – as the other rescued dogs were actually quite small and mostly a bit older in comparison. It was a moment of all sorts of emotions, and at first Harley was not so sure what to make of me. No hard feelings. She has just spent 2 months in a kennel and now 20 hours in a box to finally be with me. But pretty soon, it was clear that we are a perfect match, like a piece of velcro she stuck to ever since. Last year we made a DNA-test for her, and to no suprise she is 25% Malinois (Belgian Shepherd), and 75% German Shepherd.

Jax 🐺

As I always wanted a pack of at least 3 dogs, it was finally time to go for the second one last year. The chzechoslovakian wolfdog has been in my dreams since I am very little, and as soon as my partner agreed to the breed, we searched for a trustworthy kennel. A friend recommended a breeder in Alessandria, Piemonte, and so we visited. Absolutely content with what we saw, we signed up for our puppy. Jax was born on the 5th of october 2022. in his early weeks we drove down to visit him several times, checking his progress and introduce ourselves. With no less excitement then when I got Harley, we picked Jax up mid december. Only Harley was not very happy to receive a little brother. 6 months later Jax is bigger and heavier than her "sister", and they got used to each other, even get along very well from time to time as they both like to play rough.
