What is vinyasa yoga? Which are its benefits?
First, lets understand what yoga is
Yoga is a practice that connects the body, breath and
mind. This practice uses physical postures asanas, breathing
exercises pranayamas and meditation to improve overall health.
In its origins, yoga was developed as a spiritual practice.
Then, what is Vinyasa Yoga?
Vinyasa is is a type of yoga practice. The term vinyasa
represents the union of breath and movement, and apart from
being a type of yoga, vinyasa is also the name given to the
sequences or transitions that accomplish this union.
All vinyasas usually have a specific dynamic: with each inhalation they
rise or expand and with each exhalation they fall or contract. When we
inhale we take in prana (energy that nourishes) and when we
exhale we release apana (energy that purifies).
So, which are the benefits of practicing vinyasa yoga?

On a physical level, it provides flexibility to the entire
musculature, tones and strengthens, in addition to burning fat and
calories. It eliminates tensions in joints, tendons and ligaments and
prevents injuries, such as osteoarthritis, thanks to the strengthening
of bones.

Improves your breathing by concentrating on it during practice, which
means improving lung capacity and alleviating respiratory diseases.

On a mental level, it reduces stress, anger and anxiety. It helps you
eliminate unnecessary thoughts that affect your concentration and
relaxes the entire central nervous system. It regulates insomnia and
allows our day to improve.
