By definition...a hobby is a regular activity that is a major source of pleasure and enjoyment during one's leisure time.
One of my favourite hobbies that relaxes my brain at the end of a busy
day is listening to music! It always puts me in a FANTASTIC mood!
Listening to music as a hobby can have numerous benefits that go beyond
pure enjoyment:
- Research has shown that simply listening to music helps reduce the levels of cortisol, a hormone that is associated with stress and anxiety in our bodies.
- Music can transport us to another place and time, stimulating our imagination and letting us escape our daily worries. This is why music can make you feel more joyful, optimistic, and inspired, as it triggers the release of dopamine in the brain.
- Listening to music as a hobby can not only enhance our creativity but also our productivity, attention, and focus.
