Fittonia alvivenis, also known as Mosaic or Nerve Plant

A spreading evergreen perennial, normally grown as a potted houseplant, notable for its dark green foliage with contrasting white or red veins. Commonly known as the nerve plant or mosaic plant, it is a species of flowering plant in the Acanthaceae family and is native to rainforests in Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and northern Brazil.

To care for your Fittonia Plant, they:

• Require fertile soils
• Are best kept in moist areas
• Require mild sunlight with temperatures above 13°C
• Need regular watering however a few days without causes the plant to faint but can easily revive with a quick watering
• Are known to be difficult to grow from seed
