Especially Pembroke Welsh Corgis...

Corgis were originally bred to herd cattle and other livestock. They have lots of energy and strong personalities.
Here are some typical corgi traits:

Loyal
Attentive/protective
Strong-willed yet trainable
Energetic but may tire quickly if not fit
Need mental stimulation (they love a job to do!)
Good with young children, but may nip at their heels
Friendly to strangers and likely to get along with other dogs
