Powerlifting is a badass sport that consists of three attempts at max weight on three lifts: back squat, bench press, and deadlift. Powerlifting ≠ Olympic weightlifting. Although similar, the two sports focus on different lifts. Benefits of powerlifting include increases of bone density and metabolism, and reduction of symptoms from arthritis, depression, heart disease and diabetes.
