Every February the infectious sights and sounds of
carnaval return to Rio de Janeiro for the World's best known
party.
Carnaval has taken place in February since the 1700s and the 'party of the
flesh' is more alive today than ever, with two million people enjoying
Rio's street parties, known as 'blocos' each day.
To visit Rio during the carnaval, to dance in the streets with the locals,
and attend the samba parade at the Sambodromo all night long, is a once in
a life time experience!
