Did you know that Açaí is a fruit that actually
grows in palm trees?
Originated from the Amazon region, it has been popular amongst
indigenous people in Brazil and residents of the country’s northern
states for a long time. But only in recent decades it rose to fame
throughout the rest of Brazil and the world. Internationally, it is
mostly consumed in a sweet ice-cream like texture, added to a bowl and
topped with other delicious fruits like strawberry and banana. But in
its traditional way Açaí is actually served as a savory paste that can
be mixed with rice, beans and meat.
However, it does not matter
how you like your Açaí to enjoy its benefits. The fruit is packet with
minerals, fiber, proteins and is also rich in vitamines B1, C and E.
What a treat!
