Mogodu Mondays

A South African Cuisine

Mogodu

Mala Mogodu famously known as Mogodu Mondays for those who might not know what Mogodu refers to, it's a pedi name for beef tripe - a type of edible lining from the stomachs of cows. In these cold weathers, Mala Mogodu is a warm home meal for many and as we've seen the phrase "mogodu-monday" circulating all over social media .

This famous meal is served at different occasions and different places, but occasionally it is served at traditional weddings after the cow has been slaughted, it is the first meat taken out to be eaten by the people. The famousmeal did not begin there, the idea was inspired by the need to feed the village with a delicious plate of an African tribe meal once in a week in a way of an African taste through the entertainment. In such a winning and most chilled way, on a weekday with the finest disc jockey artists and MCs from Mashashane out to entertain meat lovers.
