Querétaro is a geographic jewel of Mexico that has the most diverse tourist attractions for all tastes and
interests seeking an alternative in the center of the country.
The name comes from the Tarascan word Queréndaro which means place of rocks and is related to its abundance
of pink quarry. Its climate is mostly dry and semi-dry, and has an average annual temperature of 28°C
(82°F).
It has the magical towns of Bernal, San Joaquín, Tequisquiapan, Cadereyta, Jalpan de Serra and Amealco. Its
most
populated
cities are the city of Querétaro and San Juan del Río. The historic center of the capital was included in
the World
Heritage Site.
