Gubei Water Town
🏮 Spring Festival 🏮 - wrap up warm!
Gubie Water Town (Beijing, China) was an incredible historical
experience and was extremely cold the time I visited with – 4°! So, wrap
up warm when exploring, especially if you plan to head up to The Simatai
Great Wall during the winter. We set out one weekend for Chinese New
Year, the sites were slightly crowded as this time of year is a huge
celebration. We discovered a drone show, which was beautifully decorated
with lanterns however, slightly chilling as there were tons of drones
buzzing up in the sky swaying from left to right. The highlight of my
trip was our visit to the hot springs, each bath had their own health
benefits, I opted for the very hot one as the weather was too cold for
my liking. Eventually, I moved on as I felt like I was being cooked from
the inside out. All in all, if you ever visit Beijing, Gubie Water Town
is a great place to lounge, go on a romantic stroll and to experience
historical architecture. It is located on the outskirts of Beijing, so
hiring a driver is probably your cheapest option. View this link for
