Victoria Falls : One of the Seven Wonders of the World and a World Heritage Site, with its thunderous cascading sheets of falling water. Victoria Falls or Mosi-oa-Tunya, 'the smoke that thunders' is one of the wonders of the world. Stretching 1.7 kilometres wide and shared by the countries of Zambia and Zimbabwe. The falls are formed as the full width of the Zambezi River plummets into a 108 metre high cleft.
Great Zimbabwe Ruins : Great Zimbabwe is the name of the stone ruins of an ancient city near modern day Masvingo, Zimbabwe. People lived in Great Zimbabwe beginning around 1100 C.E. but abandoned it in the 15th century. The city was the capital of the Kingdom of Zimbabwe, which was a Shona (Bantu) trading empire.
