Ramses

The cat of Westerstraat in Amsterdam

Ramses is a ginger cat living in one of the houses in the Westerstraat neighbourhood in Amsterdam. Despite he has his owner, it's probably more accurate to say that he belongs to this street Westerstraat. He strolls around the neighbourhood almost every day and visits shops and houses. It is currently known by the owner that he has at least 38 different places (including our place) to stop by in this neighbourhood. We all seem to have cat food in stock in case of his visit. When Ramses is walking around the street, you hear several different voices calling "Ramses!" and that's how popular he is. He used to have a different owner who moved to a different area in Amsterdam. But he stayed. We all get why. There was once a time he disappeared and didn't visit many of us, which made people very worried. There were flyers everywhere in and around the area. Later he was found, but this event became news in our local news media.
